Butter cream Icing

This is for one of my dear reader 'S ' .. Here is the recipe which i follow for most of my cakes.. I am sorry that i have no picture of my icing to post, but u can look at my cakes which has the icing on it.. Next time i mix a batch of my icing will add it to my post..

Ingredients :

Butter -- 1 cup
Confectioners sugar -- 4 cups ( sifted)
Vanilla extract -- 1 tsp
Milk --2 tbsp

Method:
  • In bowl cream butter with electric mixer.
  • Add vanilla essence
  • Add sugar, one cup at a time.
  • Beating well on medium speed.
  • Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • Cover in an airtight container and refrigerate.
  • This holds good upto 2 weeks.

Thanks dear for posting this recipe....I'm using the same one except milk i'm using water.... for some reasons I'm not getting very smooth edges on the rose.....I guess need to practise a bit more....

Nice to know that you tried this recipe. I agree making roses need a lot of practice. The movement of your rose nail and the flow from your hand pressure are very important. Keep trying and all the best. In case you need anything pl do let me know..
