Mein Chow Soup




Had been to a friends place for dinner. It was so nice of her to show me her book collection and say pick which ever you want. I was so overjoyed . I took a book on Chinese cooking and this is from it :



Ingredients :

Vegetable Stock -- 3 cups
Tomato -- 1 tbsp finely chopped
Green Bell Pepper -- 1 tbsp finely chopped
Cauliflower -- 1 tbsp finely chopped
Carrot -- 1 tbsp finely chopped
Cabbage -- 1 tbsp finely chopped
Mint leaves -- 1/2 tsp
Cilantro - 1/2tsp finely chopped
Garlic -- 1 tsp chopped
Ginger --1 tsp

Soya sauce -- 1/2 tsp
Cornflour -- 1tbsp
Oil -- 1tsp
Pepper powder -- to taste
Salt -- to taste


Method:
  • Heat oil in a wok on high flame.
  • Add the mint leaves, cilantro , ginger , garlic, vegetables and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes on high flame.
  • Add the stock, soya sauce, salt and pepper powder.
  • Mix cornflour in 1/2 cup of water and add to the soup.
  • Boil for a minute .
  • Serve hot..
