Ingredients:
Yellow moong dhal -- 1 cup
Grated Coconut -- 1 1/2 tbsp
Green Chillies -- 6
Mustard seeds -- 1/4 tsp
Sour yogurt -- 1/2 cup
eno salt or baking powder -- 3/4 tsp
oil -- 1 tbsp
Asafeotida -- 2 pinches
Salt -- 1 tsp ( or to taste)
Method:
- Wash and soak dhal with enough water for 2 hours.
- Grind coconut , green chillies , salt and asafoetida to a paste.
- Grind the soaked dhal to a coarse paste.
- Mix the above 2 paste and season with mustard seeds.
- Mix in sour yogurt
- Grease idli plates
- Mix in baking powder and pour immediately..
- Steam for 8 to 10 minutes..
- Serve hot with chutney of your choice.
